UGCAB: ARAC Stakeholders Advisory Committee Holds Its Inaugural Meeting

On July 8, 2025, the Arab Accreditation (ARAC) Stakeholders Advisory Committee held its inaugural meeting,a significant step toward strengthening cooperation among key stakeholders in the region.

The committee includes representatives from organizations involved in conformity assessment activities or benefiting from their outcomes, contributing to the advancement of ARAC’s objectives. Participants discussed mechanisms to enhance collaboration and ensure the efficiency of regional conformity assessment systems.During the meeting, Mr. Amjad Ahmed Abd, representing the United Group of Conformity Assessment Bodies (UGCAB)from the Republic of Iraq, was unanimously elected as Chair of the Committee. In his new role, Mr. Amjad will lead efforts to foster dialogue, drive initiatives, and ensure effective stakeholder participation in achieving ARAC’s goals.The ARAC Stakeholders Advisory Committee aims to promote constructive collaboration that supports cooperation among member states.
